Paul Anthony Jones(born 9 September 1965) is an English former footballer who played as a midfielder in the Football League for Walsall and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Jones joined Walsall in 1981 as an apprentice, before signing professional forms on September 9th 1983. his Birthday! He had already made his debut for the Saddlers before becoming a pro, by the end of th1985-86 season Paul had become a regular name on the team sheet. This was the season that they achieved promotion via the play offs. Towards the end of the 1987-88 season, he missed playing in another play off due to a bad injury, he recovered to play 16 games the next season (88-89) he also went on loan to Wrexham. He played 143 games in the league for the club before leaving in November 1989 to join Second Divsion side Wolverhampton Wanderers. Graham Turner paid £15,000 for his services, but he only played 15 games for them and after. falling out with the manager before being released in 1991, after which he entered non-league football, initially with Kettering Town. He then went on to play for Stafford Rangers in March 1991.
