Duggie Lochhead (16 December 1904 – 29 August 1968) was a Scottish professional football player and manager.Lochhead played for Walsall in the 1928-29, after signing from St. Johnstone, He played every match during that single season then dissapeared. The records show that he also played for Norwich City scoring the first ever goal at Carrow Road in a 4-3 victory over West Ham United in 1935. But I am unable to find if he went there from Walsall or if he played elsewhere, Its a blank. I cannot find any stats for St Johnstone or Norwich.
After retiring as a player, Lochhead managed Norwich City between 1945 and 1946, and again from 1947 to 1950. Lochhead was in charge for 171 matches during that period, winning 57, losing 74 and drawing 40 games. Lochhead also signed Johnny Gavin (footballer) in 1948, who remains Norwich’s all time top goalscorer.
He also coached in Europe, including Galatasaray of Turkey, and Heracles Almelo of the Netherlands.
